Retire early. Without feeling empty.
I had the Porsche, the boat and the houses, and felt nothing. This is how I went from successful and empty to retired at 41 and genuinely happy, and how you can skip the empty part.

What's in the guide
- 1Can I survive it if it goes wrong?
- 2Is the upside much bigger than the downside?
- 3Can I undo it?
- 4Have I got the patience to let it work?
The filter I run every big decision through: joining the army, starting and selling businesses, and moving to Asia.
Who I am
I'm James. Ex-army at 17. Eight small businesses. Sold the last one at the top. Retired at 41.
I had everything I thought I wanted, and felt empty. It took me a while to work out why. Now I live a simpler, happier life, and spend my afternoons hunting antiques with my wife, Angie.
I've had a real life, with real failures and real success. The Outlier is advice from both ends of that.
Patina Hunters is about things that show their wear. The Outlier is about a life that does too.
Most of the channel is Angie and me hunting antiques, salvage and thrift across Asia. It's the second act this series talks about, happening on camera.
